Window Treatments Part III - PATTERN

Sig Bergman - Elle Decor

Oh, how fun is this!  Patterns speak volumes when used on windows.

Brunshwig and Fils

Here they establish a loud, fun vibe with a hint of ethnic flavor!

Martin Lawrence Bullard

Bold zig zags....vibrant and charged with energy.

Kristen Ewart - House Beautiful

Patterns used on Roman shades look like art on the wall.

John Willey - House Beautiful

Erik Lysdahl - House Beautiful

The pattern here gives relief and is such a nice foil to the solid color wrapping the room.

Barry Dixon - House Beautiful

Solid color on the drapery above would have been staid and boring.  The pattern gives movement and interest to the room.

T. Keller Donovan - House Beautiful

Mary McDonald - House Beautiful

Anne Selke - House Beautiful

Fern Santini - House Beautiful

Look how just using that wide stripe adds so much vigor to that space.

Tobi Fairley - AY Magazine

Barry Dixon - House Beautiful

How invigorating is this pattern used on the windows?  What a great backdrop for solid color furnishings and carpet.  I feel happy just looking at it.

If you want a little punch and life in your interiors, pattern at the windows is a great way to go!

  1. Good morning Carla, great post. I love patterns on drapery. It sometimes makes the room. I just recently changed my drapes from a bold pattern to solid white linen. Its nice to have a change. If they weren't so expensive I would change them all the time. I have a thing for fabrics..

  2. So funny, I happened to be in a store the other day where they had packaged up some patterned drapes. And I stopped, wishing for a moment that I had a place to put such color and movement. Love these examples!
